Indeed. A short timeline:
Deimos was started around March/April 2007.
The public beta went online in August 2007.
Several new releases and new domain in January/February 08.
Around April 08 - September 08 the project was largely dormant due time issues.
In October 08 things got started up very slowly. Website was updated again, work on the rewrite of client (Deimos 0.7) was started.
December 08-January 09 was spent writing some serious documentation, rethinking what Deimos is about. After then it's decided to start with Deimos Tando and work with Deimos 0.7 halted and work started with Deimos Tando 0.8. In the meantime the first private beta's have been sent to a few betatesters
