The Deimos Project
Hi,
I just installed the project (0.8.12) but whenever I open the UI, it just disappears right away. Is there any known reason for this or am I the only one that has reported this so far?

You are the first. This happens at Windows Vista SP2?
Could you copy-paste the log of the interface here? It's in C:/Users/username/.deimos-ui

I had restarted the UI multiple times on Vista Business 32bit SP2. Good news, however. After putting my computer to sleep for the night, it seems to be working fine. Perhaps I had just needed to restart or something. The log has nothing remarkable.

For the record, did the interface-application itself disappear (crash) or only the dashboard-window?

Just got back from work and it appears the problem is back. The whole interface dies, not just the window. If I don't open up the window it will stay in the system tray and I can right click and commit my data fine.

My first results indicate no problem at Vista SP1. I'll try installing SP2. The application has been tested quite extensive in Windows XP and Windows 7 so this seems a Vista problem.

I have noticed the ui disappearing one time or another... I don't even open the ui, I just pass the mouse over the system icon and it disappears, as if it was already closed but windows didn't clear it yet.
In my user folder I found the ".deimos-ui" folder with a couple of log files and found this:

Very odd. It seems like a Windows Vista only crash. I am looking into this
I've spotted something similar. On 0.8.13 if you right click on the taskbar icon then the dashboard, commit and go to Website options aren't visible. In fact the box just doesn't open up properly. I've seen this on a couple of machines. If you close down the icon then restart Deimos then it works O.K again.
